Female founders are massively underrepresented in the startup community and particularly in financial technologies (Fintech). That’s why the Swiss Embassy, in collaboration with international partners, took the initiative to organise a Fintech Bootcamp in the UK specifically for female leaders of Fintech startups.

The selected cohort of six international startups visited London in June to meet with financial institutions and investors in order to explore opportunities for international expansion into the UK. The two Swiss startups in the group are Curio Invest (a platform for the tokenisation of real-world assets) led by Co-founders Valerie Halter and Fernando Verboonen, and Rivero (SaaS products to simplify payment operation for issuing banks) led by Co-founders Fatemeh Nikayin and Thomas Müller.
