Throughout the month of June, the Swiss Embassy will tour the UK, with events and meetings held in Cambridge, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff and Oxford to highlight the many links between Switzerland and the UK.
It is no coincidence that both the University of Oxford and Switzerland's ETH Zurich rank among the global top 10 academic institutes for Life Sciences. This is why the Swiss Business Hub UK is holding an event, in partnership with Switzerland Global Enterprise, in Oxford on 30 June to further examine the landscape for fostering innovation within this field.
Two thirds of the value added attributable to the pharmaceutical industry as a whole in Switzerland is generated in the Basel area, as revealed by an Interpharma report. Interpharma CEO René Buholzer regards it as “probably the most productive life sciences location in the world”.
