Newham is perfekt
From the elegant buildings
which sway in an embracing breeze
and the cultivated citizens amongst it,
To the lingering smell of mock-tails
Which energetically projects amongst the air.
Yet together, we are still Newham.
And all of de mates and skates,
Still come together and that’s mad,
Them ones over there are snakes
And them mates get rates
But coming together, that’s our fate
So together, we are still Newham.
And us over e’re
Accept’en the motherly corners of the street
Surrounded with dosages of friends
Mak’en us feel good, visionary even,
Cack’len the night away,
Specially when the street weathers cold,
We gather for sleep’overs
Huggin tightly togeder, that’s where our heats from
And togeder, we are still Newham.
And when the day turns to night,
We all still see the sunleight
And whether it’s winter or summer
Being in Newham, that’s never a bummer
So despite our differences and all
Only together, we are still Newham.
And together we always will be.
